Current presentation
One work. One room.Enough time to notice it.
Kunsthalle Nedre keeps the noise outside. Our lower-level room holds a single proposition, changed only when it has finished asking its question.
02 / in the room now
03 / room note
Løken began by recording the furnace below her childhood apartment, then redrew its pauses until the sound became something you could stand beside. The marks are made slowly: graphite ground into wax, then lifted back out with ash.
04 / while this work is here
Opening conversation with Ida Løken, 18:30. Seating is deliberately scarce.
Quiet hour. The room is held for twelve visitors at a time, with no introduction.
Reading table: notes on graphite, domestic acoustics, and looking without a camera.
05 / a room measure
The register is empty. Take a measure only if you have time to wait.
Three observations, then leave it alone.
At 14:17, the pipe stops. At 14:19, the tram passes. At 14:22, the room returns your shadow.
06 / coming downstairs
