OSLO / EST. 2021 / 2 DRUMS / 0 APOLOGIES

Paper
with a
loud
side.

SPUR is a pocket-sized risograph press and a monthly mail club for drawings that deserve more than a hard drive. Every issue starts as a bad idea on a kitchen table and ends folded into somebody’s postbox.

Printed wet, trimmed crooked, sent everywhere.

The SPUR duplicator, night shift. Two ink drums, one very opinionated paper feed.

THE LAST THREE
THINGS WE FOLDED

Fresh from
the drum.

A little archive of issues that made ink run under our fingernails. Every cover is actually screen-built from the pink and blue dot layers below.

#31 — NIGHT WALKERSA map of the last 47 bus stops / by Liv Rønning
#30 — BREAD HANDSThree recipes, four palms, 200 grams of rye / by Yara M.
#29 — THE TOWERA cut-out field guide to the water tower at Tøyen / by Nils H.

THE SPUR POSTBOX CLUB / 120 DESKS MAX

One strange
thing, every
month.

Join the club and a new eight-page object turns up at your door on the first Thursday. We commission one person, pick two inks, make a tiny argument with a paper cutter, then mail the evidence.

  • 01An edition of 120 or fewer, numbered by hand in the studio.
  • 02Two colour riso on uncoated Munken Lynx, selected to take a bruise beautifully.
  • 03A useful loose extra: recipe card, fold-out, sticker sheet, tiny bad poem.
  • 04kr 120 a month. Pause when life gets overstuffed; no guilt, no labyrinth.

A TINY REGISTRATION BENCH

Choose your
wrong
on purpose.

The two drums rarely land in exactly the same place. That slippage makes new colours, strange edges, and the little accidents worth keeping. Run the ferry ticket through the press three ways.

No state is blank: every proof is a full two-colour print. Use Tab and Enter, or simply pick a number.

SOMETHING OFF THE PRESS

Send us
your odd
little thing.

We commission artists, illustrators, bakers with a diagram habit, and anyone who has made a weirdly specific document and can’t stop thinking about it.

OPEN CALL / AUTUMN 2026

We like work with fingerprints on it.

Pitch a one-line premise, five rough images or a PDF under 8MB, and tell us what the loose extra would be. We read every submission at the big blue table on the last Sunday of the month.
